coffee and scone
my favorite place
corner seat
by the window
view down to
the bay
whitecaps on the wind
 
Blank paper
my pen
waiting
 
I am warm
it is safe
to be open
let words flow
 
Now
 
As they will
 

Cherry Pie
 
Daniel Webster
wanted cherry pie
after he’d argued
all night with the Devil
and won
got back his client’s soul
 
Good work but
I’ll just take the cherry pie
with ice cream
and some coffee
 
Don’t need or want
to deal with the Devil
