Coalesce
i heard of
a myth somewhere
that the sun and
the moon were
once married;
that the sun
arms orbiting around
the moon, lifted her--
wrapping rays, a hand
placed on the craters,
the pores of her being
cradled tender-- softly
plasma and planetary
two bodies,
two droplets,
within a night--
an expanding black
bedsheet-- pulled by
a gravitational
type of intimacy
slow-- inching forward--
eyes illuminating
to eyes blazing
end as day
as two lips
collide, interlock into
a love that is
a Big Bang
unparalleled, unpredictable
a billion year old
yearning
a finite wither
a slow, passionate burn.
