Wind
 
Tailored to this day,
Bent trees struggling,
splayed leaves blown to brown--
Fierce torrents rushing past
gentler days, sweet breezes sweet--
Trembling, caressing. murmuring sighs,
dappled leaves gaily dancing
toward wind-driven washed-out drains
 
 
Yvonne Jayne received her bachelor’s degree in English/French literature from the University of California, Santa Cruz, and she has recently completed her M.F.A. at Concordia University, St. Paul. Her poetry is published in The Twisted Vine, Western New Mexico University, The Tipton Poetry Journal, and The Sacramento Poetry Alliance and is forthcoming in Prosetric, the Magazine a publication from the Netherlands.
