A Bigger Stone
Our backs to the wind
A walk around the lake
Keeps the chill at bay
You pick up a small stone
Skip it across the water
Tell me to match that
We talk trivial matters
Weather, sports
The new neighbors
We don’t need to smother
The life out of fun
We’ve been hit hard
Respite on deck
Trivial is just what we need
And a bigger stone for me
